Meme: Any unit of cultural information, such as a practice or idea, that is transmitted verbally or by repeated action from one mind to another.

Our Goal: Buy very little new except for essentials. For the essentials, Memes will seek out & support ethical manufacturers / retailers who demonstrate leadership in ethics and sustainability.

Emphasis on organics, fair trade & local. Spend as much as you like on food, health, sports, & culture. We do not accept or use bottled water, disposable cups or plastic bags. We educate ourselves on sustainability and peak oil.

At the end of the day we vote with what we consume. We will vote for the change we wish to see in the world.

In this culture of endless choice, the right of refusal becomes our greatest choice. The right of refusal becomes our ultimate expression of free will.
